Out of Frame
January 28, 2011
We were asked to change our point of view for this week’s Big Tent Poetry prompt. To do this, we were to choose a portrait, and write about the subject from the point of view of the photographer. I chose this image of a concentrating man for the basis of my poem.

This was a great idea…the whole thing a bit out-of-focus, like life is when love is lost.

You captured that field of neglect that most of us have experienced at one time or another either as a child of a selfish parent, or in a relationship with a selfish person. This so perfectly touches that nerve where this feeling lives. I really enjoyed this poem.
